Things I Witnessed Today
AKA: Why I Hate Everyone Sometimes
Today in the store, I saw an old man run over a little girl’s foot with his shopping cart. Her mom told him to be careful. He proceeds to tell the little girl to stop being “such a pain in the ass.” Dude, she’s 8. You ran over her foot. Get over yourself.
So I told him that he didn’t need to use that kind of language in our business, especially not towards a little kid. He told me, “Mind your business, dammit.” I told him he could go to another register or get out because I was through with his trifling. He refused to move, so I called over my supervisor. And what does she do? She just gets me off the register and checks his stuff out so he can leave.
Seriously? I could have just waited him out. I’ve done that before. Stupid rich old people.
